Print & general Info

Limited edition print

In printmaking, an edition is a number of prints struck from one plate, usually at the same time. Most modern artists produce only limited editions, normally signed by the artist and numbered as say 67/100 to show the unique number of that impression and the total edition size.

Open edition print

Unlike limited edition prints, open edition prints may be endlessly reproduced. Because there's no limit to the number of prints that can be made, an open edition print is priced lower than a limited edition print.

Sold out stock

When an item is out of stock or sold out, enquiries can be made for re order or restock if the product in question isn't an original or limited edition run. Having said that, the artist may reserve the right to not produce more open edition prints.

What is a Giclée print?

The word Giclée is a French word meaning fine spray. It refers to a print of the highest quality pigment inkjet process, that offers archival qualities without bleeding or fading.

What is a silkscreen print?

A variety of stencil printing on fine art paper, using a screen made from fabric (silk or synthetic) stretched tightly over a frame.

Affirmative. Please contact me here.

What are A.P.'s?

A.P.'s, also known as S.P.'s, are Artist Proofs (or Studio Proofs). They are usually kept by the artist or printer but can be released when all other copies of the artwork are sold out.
